 TASTING NOTE

Garnet red with orange hues, this wine has perfumes of red cherries and red berry fruit. It is silky and pervasive, with soft tannins and a refined, polished texture, with some balsamic notes on the long finish.

There are 90 associate growers belonging to the Cantina di Montalcino whose combined vineyards cover 108 hectares in the small, hilly area in the commune of Montalcino.

The grapes were hand harvested. Maceration on the skins took place during fermentation and lasted approximately 15-20 days, together with frequent, gentle pumping over. The fermentation temperature was between 30-32°C.  Controlling the temperature encouraged the extraction of good colour and soft, ripe tannins.  The wine was matured in Slovenian oak casks for three years before bottling.
