TASTING NOTE

Bright straw in colour with golden reflections, the nose is very elegant with persistent scents of honey and country flowers. Dry, soft and well balanced with a full body.

The parcels of grapes are selected from 16ha in an area called 'Ronco del Fortino', then left on the vine to be harvested 2 weeks after all the other grapes. The individual character of each vintage of Tunina is sought in the final blend, where Jermann carefully balances the individual components of each variety and parcel into a harmonious and complimentary whole.

Planted in mainly marl and sandy soil, dating back to the eocenic age, typical of SW and NE exposed areas in the Collio. The vine training is the guyot-cappuccina method (6000 - 7000 vines per ha, 40 - 60 quintals). Drinks on release and for the next 7 - 8 years, up to 10yrs in the best vintages.

It is paired with truffled first courses, with a great variety of fish dishes, especially oven-baked fish and fish in sauce, and it can easily be drunk with white meats.
