Laura Aschero Pigato 2015



Bright straw yellow in the glass with an intense bouquet of peaches, acacia honey and broom flowers. These characteristics follow-through on the palate, with full body, incredible texture and a peppery twist. Simultaneously dry, fruity and structured.

The Pigato grapes are farmed on dry stone wall terraces on the Ligurian hillsides with minimal mechanisation. At the winery the grapes are rested with a 24 hour period of cold maceration prior to pneumatic pressing, clarification, filtration, fermentation on natural yeasts at around 18-20C, cold stabilisation, filtration and bottling.

This wine is made by a fish addict so it is not surprising that it goes extremely well with fish, especially richer seafood dishes. Also try it with other local specialities - artichokes, coniglio alla Ligure, torta verde, foccaccia drenched in Taggiasca olive oil and farinata.
