Terre Antiche Gavi 2015

An attractive lemon yellow colour. This wine is scented and delicate, with hints of lime zest on the nose and fruit with a lovely zip and verve on the palate.

The wine estate is 40 hectares, which are planted with highly specialised vines. All vineyards are between 300-500 metres above sea level. Soils are grey marl with loose sandy topsoil. The vines are Guyot trained and planted at a density of 4,000 vines per hectare.

At La Giustiniana, harvest began on the 21st of September and concluded on the 4th of October, following a wet and rainy summer. Despite these conditions, the winery received healthy and mature grapes, resulting in a very fresh wine with good acidity and an excellent aromatic finesse.

The grapes were gently pressed, then cool fermented in temperature controlled stainless steel tanks. Unoaked, the wine was bottled in the spring following the harvest
